About Me

I’ve always wanted to write and now I have a story unfolding to share, week by week. My life story is more interesting than my imagination could create and filled with incredible characters that have helped shape me into whom I am today. I hope that sharing the story of my surrogacy journey will enlighten and inspire those interested in the process and help me put my thoughts and emotions into print so years from now I can look back on this incredible experience.

I am a single mother with two amazing children, a four year old girl and a one and a half year old boy. I love cooking, reading, camping, the beach and spending time with family and friends. I put myself through college earning an Associate of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and vow to never stop learning. I am a believer in manifesting and destiny and know that this was all part of a plan I couldn’t have dreamed up five years ago.

When I moved into a bigger place last summer, I put a pregnancy portrait of myself on my nightstand as a reminder of “pregnancy”. It was around the same time I started reading a book by Martha Beck called Steering by Starlight: Find Your Right Life, No Matter What! It talked about how every event in your life, whether perceived as good or bad is a stepping stone toward something greater.  I reflected a lot on my life as a single mom and the challenges I’ve conquered. Two months later, I received an email asking if I’d be interested in becoming a surrogate. And that is where my story begins. I’m about to embark on my third pregnancy and it’s Not Mine, This Time!
